Starter questions

These are sample questions to ease you into the topic. They cover the basic principles and the simplest forms these questions can take.

Question 1

The table shows annual energy consumption, cost data, and energy efficiency metrics for seven manufacturing facilities. For each of the following statements, select 'yes' if the statement can be verified as true based on the table data. Otherwise, select 'no'.

More questions

These are examples that are more reflective of the exam. They include a couple of different steps and test the same concepts in slightly less obvious ways.

Question 2

The table shows commute data for five transportation modes in a major city, including average one-way distance, time, and annual cost per commuter. For each statement, select 'Yes' if the statement can be definitively concluded by first computing the average speed (distance/time) for each mode, then filtering modes based on derived metrics, and finally performing cross-comparisons between speed and cost rankings. Otherwise, select 'No'. Each analysis requires at least four logical steps.

The table below shows commute data by transportation mode for a city. For each statement, indicate whether it can be inferred from the table. Select Yes if the statement can be inferred; otherwise, select No.

Question 6

The table lists six projects in a public toilet flush volume optimization program. Budget is in thousands of dollars. Completion rate is installed fixtures divided by planned fixtures. For each statement, select Yes if the statement is true based on the table; otherwise select No.

Hard questions

These are 705+ level questions that you can expect from the GMAT Focus Edition. They test multi-step reasoning, complicated word problems, and the hardest percent concepts the exam covers.

Question 7

The scatter plot shows advertising spend (in millions of dollars) versus sales revenue (in millions of dollars) for 8 tech companies in 2022, labeled A-H. The correlation coefficient is r=0.72r = 0.72. For each statement, indicate whether it can be inferred from the given information.

Question 8

The table shows performance metrics for 7 sales representatives at a tech company, including their total sales, commissions, customer satisfaction ratings, and whether they met their quarterly targets. For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true based on the information provided. Otherwise, select No.

Question 9

The table shows advertising spend (in thousands of dollars) and sales revenue (in millions of dollars) for four quarters of a fiscal year. Evaluate the following statements based on the data.

Question 10

The scatter plot shows the relationship between advertising spend (in thousands of dollars) and sales revenue (in millions of dollars) for a company over four quarters. For each of the following statements, select 'Yes' if the statement is supported by the data in the scatter plot. Otherwise, select 'No'.
