What happens on test day

Bring one government-issued ID with your signature. The name on the ID must exactly match the name you registered with.

Arrive 15 to 30 minutes before your appointment. Late arrivals can be refused and forfeit the exam fee.

At check-in your ID is inspected and a digital photo is recorded before you are seated.

Personal items go into a locker: phone, watch, bag, notes, and food are not allowed at the workstation.

Breaks depend on the exam you are taking; the exam clock keeps running during any permitted break.

Arrival tips

Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Expect to start your test before your scheduled time if the center is ready. Be prepared for potential delays if the center is not open on time.

Temperature

The testing room can be warm, so consider dressing in layers or bringing a light jacket.

Noise level

Noise from upstairs tenants can be loud and disruptive. Earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones, and a white noise sound machine are provided to help mitigate this issue. The testing room itself is generally quiet, but the hallway and building noise can be an issue.
