IMD MBA Essays: What IMD Publishes
What IMD publishes about written application questions for the MBA, and the documents the application requires.
Essay prompts
IMD does not publish MBA essay prompts or word limits on its website for the current cycle or for earlier cycles; any written questions appear only inside the online application.
What the application requires

- A GMAT, GRE or Executive Assessment score less than 5 years old (test taker copy plus an official score report; GMAT code SKR-MM-13, GRE code 8490).
- A one-page resume in English on the IMD CV template. IMD states that other formats are not accepted.
- One reference from a business-related source, submitted through IMD's online form. IMD accepts only professional email addresses for recommenders.
- A non-refundable application fee of CHF 150.
- An indication of any scholarships you are applying for, with their requirements.
Assessment day
Shortlisted applicants attend an assessment day, online or on campus, with a mix of individual and group tasks and an interview. IMD assesses English proficiency on the assessment day.
