Things to Know Before Applying to INSEAD
Facts about the INSEAD MBA that shape an application: format, intakes, campuses, tests and interviews.
Facts that shape an INSEAD application
- The MBA runs one year. An August start runs ten consecutive months; a January start includes a two-month summer break that can be used for an internship.
- INSEAD states that curriculum, class size and composition are identical for the August and January intakes.
- Applicants choose a home campus, France or Singapore. If the preferred campus is full, INSEAD offers a place on the other campus, and campus changes after assignment are rarely possible.
- The GMAT or GRE is mandatory and cannot be waived. INSEAD has no minimum score and does not publish a class average.
- Every applicant completes a Kira Talent video and written assessment within 48 hours of the application deadline.
- Pre-selected applicants interview with two INSEAD alumni.
- Native English speakers must validate a practical level (B1) of a second language.
- In general INSEAD does not grant deferrals.
- Management consulting took 50% of the Class of 2025.
