MIT Sloan MBA Interview: Format and Timing
How the MIT Sloan MBA interview works, as described by the school: invitation, pre-interview short answer, format, length, and timing by round.
Interview format
Interviews are required and offered by invitation only. An invitation means the application has reached an advanced stage of consideration and does not guarantee admission. Invited applicants submit an additional short-answer response before the interview, with instructions included in the invitation. The interview is a one-on-one conversation of about 30 minutes with a member of the Admissions Committee, conducted virtually and scheduled in Eastern Time. Current students do not take part in the evaluation.
What the interview covers
MIT Sloan conducts behavioral interviews: applicants are asked for specific examples of personal and professional behavior, such as how they persuade others, work as part of a team, and solve problems. The school states that it looks for examples of building relationships and demonstrating leadership, as well as professional presentation, communication, and English language proficiency.
