NYU Stern MBA Interview: Format and Process

Interview format

NYU Stern interviews are available by invitation only. They are conducted by trained admissions professionals who will have read your entire application. Stern states that all interviews are currently conducted virtually.

Interview process

1. Stern sends an initial notification by the date tied to your deadline: an interview invitation, a waitlist offer, or a denial. Applicants may be waitlisted or denied without an interview.
2. If invited, you schedule your interview through your application status page.
3. You interview virtually with a trained admissions professional who has read your application.
4. A post-interview decision typically takes up to three weeks: an offer of admission, a waitlist offer, or a denial.
5. Admitted applicants view the admission letter, including any scholarship award, on the application status page.
