Stanford GSB MBA Interview: Format, Questions & Tips
The Stanford GSB MBA interview as described by the school: who interviews, the format, and the interview windows for each round.
Interview format
Stanford GSB interviews are by invitation only and are not granted without a valid test score submitted to Stanford. Interviewers are trained members of the MBA alumni community or members of the admissions team. Interviews take place remotely or in person; Stanford does not accept requests to interview on campus and treats all interview locations and dates equally. Stanford recommends business attire.
What to expect
Stanford conducts a structured behavioral interview. It focuses on past actions rather than hypothetical situations and asks about meaningful professional or community experiences from the past few years. You will also have time to ask questions.
