Cambridge Judge MBA Admissions: Requirements and Deadlines

Application overview
Applications for the Cambridge MBA starting in September 2027 are open across five rounds. Applicants need a good 2:1 Honours degree on the UK scale or international equivalent, at least 2 years of full-time work experience by the start of the programme, and a GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition or GRE score. The application includes one supervisor reference, a career objectives statement and three short essays, and a GBP 165 fee. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed virtually. Cambridge Judge does not publish an acceptance rate.

Application components
- Online application with a GBP 165 application fee
- Good 2:1 Honours degree on the UK scale or international equivalent (lower grades may be considered with a good GMAT or GRE score)
- At least 2 years of full-time work experience by the start of the programme
- GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition or GRE score, valid at the point of application (GMAT code WF1-T3-68, GRE code 0832)
- One reference from a supervisor (academic, relative, peer or colleague references are not accepted)
- Career objectives statement (up to 500 words) and three short essays (up to 200 words each)
- English proficiency test taken within two years of the programme start if English is not your first language
- Virtual interview for shortlisted applicants
Interview and offers
All admissions interviews are held virtually. Successful candidates receive a conditional offer, usually within 3 weeks of the interview. Accepting the offer requires a non-refundable reservation fee of GBP 7,950, which counts toward tuition, and a financial guarantee. Admitted students are put forward for membership of a Cambridge college.
English language
If English is not your first language, Cambridge requires a recognised test taken within two years of the programme start. Minimums: IELTS Academic 7.0 overall (Listening 7.0, Writing 7.0, Reading 6.5, Speaking 7.0); TOEFL iBT taken before 21 January 2026, 100 overall with 25 in each section; Cambridge English C2 Proficiency, 200 overall with no element below 185. The policy sets separate requirements for TOEFL iBT tests taken from 21 January 2026.
