Application overview
The 2026-2027 Daytime MBA application (entering fall 2027, Class of 2029) has an Early Action round and three regular rounds. Early Action is binding. The application includes a self-reported test score, unofficial transcripts, a one-page resume, one recommendation, a short answer, two required essays, an optional essay, and a $225 fee. Interviews are by invitation. Fuqua does not accept English-language (ESL) test scores and assesses language proficiency from the rest of the application.

- Short answer: post-MBA career goals, first-choice and alternate plan (100 words)
- Essay: 25 Random Things about yourself (750 words maximum)
- Essay: The Fuqua community and you (500 words maximum)
- Optional essay (500 words maximum)

Interview process
By invitation. Interviews are conducted by alumni, staff, or trained second-year MBA students called Admissions Fellows, and the interviewer sees only your resume. On-campus interviews are offered in Early Action, Round 1, and Round 2 and are held in person; off-campus interviews are primarily virtual and are offered in every round. Round 3 applicants select a virtual interview. Interviews last 45 to 60 minutes. Every admitted applicant interviews before receiving an offer.

Fee waivers and reapplicants
Applying in Early Action qualifies for a full application fee waiver, as do a campus visit or open house before applying, Duke alumni status, military service, and the other criteria Fuqua lists. Reapplicants from the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 cycles can clone their prior application, answer an additional reapplicant essay (500 words maximum), and are encouraged to apply in Early Action or Round 1.
