Application overview
The IE International MBA uses rolling admissions with no fixed application deadline, for intakes in September and January. IE lists five steps: the online application, an admissions test, an online assessment, a personal interview and the Admissions Committee decision. IE requires a bachelor degree and a minimum of three years of professional experience. IE says the process typically takes four to six weeks, and the committee replies roughly 1 to 3 weeks after reviewing the full application.

Application components

- Bachelor degree from an accredited university and official transcripts
- One-page CV
- Personal statement (IE also accepts a video or presentation)
- Contact information for two academic or professional references
- English certificate unless exempt: TOEFL minimum 100 on the previous scale or 5 for tests taken after January 21, 2026; IELTS minimum 7; Duolingo English Test minimum 130; or Cambridge Advanced
- Passport copy and passport-size photo
- Application fee: EUR 150, non-refundable
- One admissions test: GMAT, GRE, IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT) or Executive Assessment (EA)
- Online assessment: three live questions, two in video format and one written
- Personal interview with a manager of the Admissions Team, in person or online
Interview process
After the online application and fee, IE sends a link to answer three live questions, two in video format and one written. Applicants then have a personal interview, face-to-face or online, with a manager of the Admissions Team.
