Test scores and English

All applicants must submit a valid GMAT (Focus Edition or 10th Edition) or GRE score by the application deadline. MIT Sloan does not require a minimum test score and has no preference between the GMAT and GRE. The MBA program does not accept the Executive Assessment in place of the GMAT or GRE. MIT Sloan does not accept TOEFL or IELTS scores; English language ability is assessed during the interview.

Interview process

Interviews are required and offered by invitation only. Invited applicants submit an additional short-answer response before the interview. The interview is a behavioral, one-on-one conversation of about 30 minutes with a member of the Admissions Committee, conducted virtually and scheduled in Eastern Time. Round 1 interviews take place from late October through early December; Round 2 interviews typically occur in February and March.
