Earlier classes on the classic GMAT scale

The 2025-2026 MBA Employment Report lists a median GMAT score of 730 for both the Class of 2025 and the Class of 2026. Those figures are not comparable with the Class of 2028 GMAT Focus median: MIT Sloan notes that the GMAT Focus Edition (205-805) and the previous GMAT (200-800) use different scales.

Test policy

All MBA applicants must submit a valid GMAT (Focus Edition or 10th Edition) or GRE score by the application deadline; there is no test waiver. MIT Sloan has no preference between the GMAT and GRE and accepts scores from online and test center exams. The MBA program does not accept the Executive Assessment. AWA scores are not required. For the current cycle, MIT Sloan evaluates single-attempt GMAT scores rather than the GMAT Superscore. The GRE code is 3791.
