Things to Know Before Applying to Kellogg

Kellogg application rules and program facts that applicants often miss, taken from Kellogg's own admissions pages.

Application rules

You may apply to one full-time Kellogg program per year. After submitting, you may select one alternate Full-Time Program and/or the Evening & Weekend MBA, with a short paragraph explaining your interest.
Test scores must come from a single sitting. Kellogg does not superscore, gives no preference between the GMAT and GRE, and has no minimum score.
Video essays are due 96 hours after the application deadline, and official answers cannot be redone.
Recommenders answer three Kellogg prompts; additional letters of support are neither required nor encouraged.
All interviews are virtual. Invitations are sent on a rolling basis until decision release, and Kellogg says their timing does not indicate a candidate's status.
Hard copies of official transcripts are required only upon matriculation.
Application fees are non-refundable, and candidates may not be considered for more than one program at a time.

Previous study in business or economics is not required, except for the One-Year Program, which runs June to June.
The Two-Year MBA starts in September.
Kellogg strongly recommends at least two years of full-time work experience at matriculation, except for Kellogg Future Leaders applicants.
The JD-MBA uses one integrated application through Kellogg with a GMAT or GRE score; no LSAT is required.
The MBAi requires two to six years of work experience and an undergraduate STEM degree or major.
