Yale School of Management MBA Admissions: Requirements, Rounds, and Interview

Yale SOM MBA application rounds, required components, test policy, interview process, and costs for the 2026-2027 cycle.

Application Overview

Yale SOM accepts applications in three rounds for the class entering in fall 2027. Applicants need a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the international equivalent; international applicants with a three-year degree from an accredited institution may apply. Yale SOM requires a verified GMAT or GRE score and does not waive the test for any applicant. It also accepts the LSAT for candidates who have considered law school. There is no minimum score. Yale SOM credits your highest score, and reviews a GMAT Superscore alongside your individual sittings. The TOEFL, PTE Academic, and IELTS are not required. The standard application fee is $250, or $175 for applicants earning less than $50,000 a year and $125 for those earning less than $25,000.

Interview Process

Interviews are offered by invitation on a rolling basis throughout each round. Every applicant offered admission has had an interview.
